The exhibition catalogue to our 2025 exhibition Traces of Belsen, by Dr Barbara Warnock
The traces remaining of the Prisoner of War and Nazi concentration camp at Bergen-Belsen are faint, but this catalogue uncovers evidence of the camp from records in our archive, testimonies, photographs and archaeological digs. It reveals the history of the camp throughout the Holocaust and beyond, when it became the largest DP camp in Germany for Jewish survivors of the Holocaust and emerged as a centre of renewal of Jewish life in Germany.
